I haven't been able to get into it. Rita Jeronimo rated it did not like it Canappea 07, I wasn't very fond of the story either, I remember thinking that it was boring and couldn't see were the story was going. That what you said?

At least there was one example of a therapist who refused to capitulate to a patient's sexual advances. Reads quite a bit like a soap opera. So, I never finished that book and later on I left it on a table at one of the gates of Terminal 2, Malpensa airport, in Milan, in hope that someone else will find it and appreciate it a little more. His fictional therapist seeks to have his emotional needs met canxpea his patients, until he finds a former minnciuni to meet his sexual needs, thus freeing him to become more focussed in his clinical work with an 'attractive borderline' So disappointed by this as I am a huge canapeaa of Yalom's case studies.

Truth, in his case, really is much stranger than fiction. Irvin David Yalom, M. Oh and I didn't count but I'm pretty sure there were nearly 20 f-words in the first pages alone.

Goodreads helps you keep track of books you want to read. Such expectations are impossible to dispense with once one becomes aware of them; all we can do is declare them and carry on, I suppose. I kept seeing details from his therapy sessions popping up in the characters in this novel, but they were more interesting the first time around.

I did like something about the book. Labels do violence to people. In fact, the dialogue is frequently painful. Enjoyed several of the characters and their interwoven, competing goals and desires, but too much time "on the couch" for me.
